Cintaku Di Indonesia …. JAKARTA to be exact .

I LOVE INDONESIA ! Most of my travelling journey covers that country .

I have yet to discover Medan , Makassar , Lombok and etc . But Surabaya, Bandung, Bali , Jakarta, Madura , Batam , Kuta , you don’t say siaa . I’ve been there and I will always go there again . Whenever I am at any Indonesia countries , I feel at home. It’s like my second home and this is where I belong . huahauaha . I can make friends and I dare to walk alone in their streets . To top it off , my solo trip is Indonesia and I never regret one bit of it . In fact , still thinking of my next solo trip there . I have a second family in Jakarta . The capital of Indonesia . So whenever I go there , I will stay at their house to shop and shop and eat.

The three of them at the front is my second family . From left , Andi , Nunik and bapak . At the back , that’s Rusydi . He is Nunik’s fiancee and they are getting married soon this december and he is a Singaporean . Jauh kan her jodoh . haha . Adam considered them as family also .Love them very very much . How i know them semua long story eh but it was indeed a good one . What’s with the sudden Indonesia thing kan , well its all about the wedding preps too . U all surely know how  Indon currency is way lower and their things is way cheaper than singapore .

I’m having thoughts of flying there next year , somewhere early of the year to settle few of my wedding preps . This is what I have in mind ,

1. Wedding Invites

2. Wedding Favors / Berkat

3 . Items for Dulang Gubahan

4 . Kain for the family and also bridesmaid

But the problem is , I have to consider how many bags I need to bring and also whom I might consider to bring together fior the trip . My Mother is a must lah kan apart from Adam . I might bring my father or just have extra luggages for all that I’m planning to buy . Add on baggage is a must . If it’s confirmed , these is the place that I will visit to do my purchases .

( For the wedding invites ) – To be confirmed as Cards in Malaysia might seem to be of the same price but diffrent design and quality .

The four above pictures were send by Nunik when she went over to buy her wedding berkat to be brought here . Ceramic cup are being sold at $0.50 and having a box with customise name, you just have to add 20 cent . Best thing they have stocks , so if I happen to go there to buy like 500 pieces . They would have stocks but the downside is that , having a fragile item to be brought home might take a lot of risk unless u hand carry . hahahaha . So that also have to take into consideration.There was a lot more items and pictures that she send me , so roughly i have time to think .

Next is the dulang gubahan items and kain for the family and bridesmaid . In Indonesia , you can choose between Bandung and Jakarta to do this . I was quite young when I went to Bandung so I never really had an experience to borong there . But Jakarta , i tawaf the place like so many times. The place I’m talking about for this Tanah Abang . I remember when I came with Adam , we went straight from the airport with our luggages . From one 2 luggages , we had this really big shopping bag aka bag makcik2 keropok . I literally went crazy in Tanah Abang . Apa taknya , 1 metre of lace kain is only $1.50 . Prada lace was only $10 per metre when in Arab Street , the lowest was $30 per metre . I had everything that I laid my hands on .

I bought telekung , kain pelikat , baju tidur butterfly and casual wear for my mother from my last visit. So I knew Tanah Abang would be an ideal place , in case my trip is confirmed to buy all the wedding stuffs there . It was like just yesterday , i just came back from there , Miss the bakso , the morning porridge campur , martabak and the seafood dishes .

Apart from Tanah Abang , you can visit Mayestik Jakarta , another shopping heaven for kain-kain and etc . Bandung is also another popular spot , you can sight seeing and shop at the same time . Not sure about their price diffrences but you ladies can ask around for opinions . So the question is

TO GO OR NOT TO GO ?? 

                                                                HAHAHAAH . Insyalllah if time permits and rezeki ada , confirm plus chop . I go .

3 in 1 happiness . Like Kopi like that .

Okay a brand new week . So much so I am looking forward to another week .Specifically on the 22nd Sept . Cannot wait for our appointment with HDB . Later when the day come , I will regret I ever say this . haha . By reading most of u all nya post on HDB updates , i yang ANXIOUS . hahahaha

I haven’t got a good rest over the weekends due to running of errands . Mostly for Adam . Bukan I tau . Nak suruh dia pergi town teman belikan makeup pun susah . But this time for a good reason which I will mention at the bottom , so I forgive him and layankan . hah

So over the weekends , we got our plans running and checked . Weekends of course nowdays, include weddings,baby showers,birthday celebrations and etc.Our first plan was none other than Nazz (@eliblrr) wedding . Since it was near to both of us,we headed there first.So lucky that both the pengantin is around. Congrats darling on your beautiful wedding . Both of you looks stunning and the jeep that u posted on ig,is really cool. Sama cantik , sama padan . The food was sedap with all the live stations . Not forgetting the live band . Good choice babe .  Even Adam approves . Ouh not forgetting the teh tarik station too .Thanks for inviting us once again darling .

So we wanted to head to the next wedding , but it turn out that my parents have gone there already and since it inTampines. We kirim duit and salam only. hahahah .

So Adam suggested we headed back to his house for us to settle our finance and our wedding bookings . We even created an excel spreadsheet to list out everything. hahaha . We should have done it earlier kan. After listing everything and filling all our budget . Below is my expression . Huahauahaua

By then the sun has set , it was already dinner time . I didn’t had a meal at Adam house so we headed out for dinner .Adam recommended a new place within Jurong West . And no thank you, i won’t come there anymore . Maybe it was just me , ntak sedap pun. So next was his sister’s house to take his bond and contract papers . Lepak there for a while then proceeded to Hougang to take his new bike exhaust bike . He bought another bike . Smaller than the other . It is so call his transport bike to his new workplace . Gasak kau lah nak . Whatever makes you happy .By the time I reach home , 12 plus at night already .

Sunday a bit more relax , have to accompany Adam again. I met him at Wisma at about 1 plus . Straight away to Serangoon Broadway to return his graduation gown . In my mind i was thinking all about the lemak siput that my mum called to inform me that she is cooking on that day . Too bad Adam didn’t get to taste cause he have to rush back home straight after sending me home . What a hectic weekend kan . Nak do my laundry and clean my room pun dah malas . All for this reason,because he is starting his new job on Monday and I know he won’t have anytime to do everything.So we make use of all the time during weekends to get everything done and sorted. Welcome to the working life sayang. Slowly but surely aye

Syukur, Allah yang maha mengetahui . Maybe he knows the real reason for you, not to pursue your interest with SPF. Maybe if you really did become a Senior Police Officer , I will see lesser of you and miss you . EKKKKS ,so mentel . But ok lah, at least when u reservist I can see you wearing uniform ahh k Staff Sergeant .

So yes,come yesterday pulak . Kan Monday , Monday blues . But nope , I was given a good and smooth day by Allah . I had lunch with a new friend Ika . A bride to be too this coming december. She’s one of Adam’s friend fiancee . Such a sweet girl and glad that we have the same wavelength . hahahaha

Lunch at I am Cafe , the soft shell crab appetizers we order is so damn sedap lah . But we were too full from our main that we didnt finish it . hehehe . Last but not at least , how can i ever forget . I was given a gift by the boss , it wasn’t actually a gift until he really handed me it . You see, i had another broadband line set up in the office . Instructed by my boss and company of course. So as usual procedure, with every line that we set up , we will get a new phone . Cause corporate account mah , and since last month we also added one line . It was only this month we can claim both stuff . So two lines equal 2 gifts . And then when suddenly around 3 pm , i heard this coming from my cubicle. “Psst psst” . It was my boss. hahahah . And he handed me this .

” One of this is for Grace (my account manager) . The other i give you . Cause I too many phones lah . “

One who went to the EXPO WEDDING GALLERIA and mehhhhh …

So yesterday after work , Adam fetched me from work and we drove straight to Singapore Expo . We missed the last few events ,simply because we don’t have time and we don’t feel the need yet to come down yet . From Bugis took us 20 mins , find a parking lot and we started to walk around . Since yesterday is the first day , the crowd wasn’t that much and also the  hype wasn’t there yet (which we actually want) because we would be busy during the weekends and kita tak kuasa to line up just to ask our inquiries . haha .

It is being held in Hall 6.So upon entrance ,the diff vendors for wedding would be at the front.And the food and clothings at the back . There was, Anggun by Mastura , Fatimah Mohsin wedding gallery,Signature wedding , Saiful Imran , Amani Wedding , Anggun Decor and a whole lot more vendors ranging from photographer,videographer ,venue and etc. It was my main idea this year to be able to attend to at least get an insight of what i might or might not be missing if i were to take their package from exhibition like this .

Truth is I don’t really like it and I am so proud of myself that I didn’t put in any deposit because maybe I might regret that decision. Glad that I wasted my money on getting food instead and the expensive parking charges.From this kind of exhibition , you can only collect a two things . Tips from diff vendors you enquire on and this ,

As I already done my research on vendors , I strike off vendors that probably wouldn’t make any diff to their pricing and service . Most vendors I ask , would only have 200-300 offset of their package charges and while some only free gift will be given. For example, I had my session with Signature Bridal . I was looking into decor . Their price is $6788 . ONLY FOR DECOR . Their service was good and they nearly catch our interest , but the moment they mention installment plans even after your wedding . I was like, NO WAY SIA ADAM . Dahlah 6k plus , after kahwin pun masih kena bayar lagi eh . I mean, sape tak tempted kan. But we have other vendors to pay too . So tak kelakar eh .Best thing , free item is dorang nya Tiffany Chairs . Puas hati i take Jentayu Gallery kan . huahauahau. NO HATING SISTA . Just stating my thoughts .

For photography/videography area, it was a whole lot more of new vendors . Those comp yang ‘baru nak naik’ they say. I am not saying they are bad , but it surely didn’t move me to tears or shrieks of joy to be able for me to place a deposit on either one of them. There was one , we flipped through the prices for videography .$1499 , harga so swee . Sekali see the video diplayed , “EH , WHY SO FAST THE GROOM KISS THE BRIDE”. It’s like not directed well .And also since we haven’t really decide on a pre or post wedding session , we approached ESA Wedding . The salesperson who attend to us damn good you know . Package range from 1.5k-1.9k . And, tu pun i tak sign up jugak . hahahahah

So yah , sometimes its true what they say . Tak semestinya those vendors yang tak pernah buat expo gallery ni tak bagus. Look at those vendors that goes by the word of mouth. Example like Zaiton Catering , Doulath Catering,Haji Abu and ……you get the idea right . The idea is to trust your gut feeling , do not be weaken by the small gifts and their pujuk rayu . If you think another vendor is is better in quality and service with that amount of money or slightly higher . Then walk away . If you are on a budget or u feel that u are comfortable with them and the price is right, the choice is all yours darling .

As for me and adam , we have yet to find the one . At least , we make our choices smaller and we are one step closer to find the right vendors to our wedding . Just as much I want to throw my money at  them and not think about it anymore . Might as well put in a few effort to really know the quality and workmanship . Ok lah , i sound macam paham in this post but in fact . I was so so happy because this morning when I look through fb and ig again, i kind of knew what i want . So moral of the story is , SELAMAT AKU PUNYA $$$$$$$$$$ . hahahah

(so thats me , before i sleep yesterday) look through everything . And chuck it everything in the bin .

Baby I dah besar lahh seyhh ..

Finally after 3 years of uni life , my baby graduated yesterday . Well , I wasn’t there during his 1st year . I only muncul for the second and third year .hahahah . When I first got to know him , I know him as a school boy . hehehe. So yeap , so proud of him . Not easy being a student and juggling with part time jobs and also handling a monster as your own girlfriend . Many a times , I was not happy because he would be busy with assignments and exams . So when I’m free , he would be busy . When I am busy , he would either have ended his exam or having long term school break . ANNOYING .

Still we work it through together , if we were to tell our story to people . Confirm plus chop can write a book one . 4 things I learn to be able to see this day coming is ,

Patience does’t kill you .

Well , that’s about it then . A big event that happen between us yesterday . Today got Videography appointment at Geylang Baru .. Surveying the comp and their work first before we can make our decision to book our Videography vendor . Hope all of you are in the best of health . xx

Well , there are entrepreneurs consisting of ladies with beautiful collection of muslimah wear ranging from tudung and even beautiful muslimah dresses .They have a few stores in Malaysia and if you guys are interested . So recently , their founder got married . None other than the beautiful Fazrena Aziz . I followed her on IG. And i must say , she is very funny . Along the way towards the big day ,she gives out tips instilled with humour . haha . I wish her and Bakk (the husband) a beautiful marriage journey together . So yes , I am INSPIRED by her wedding . Take a look .

It looks even better on phone lahh ok . I love the decor . Tak silap I , the wedding was in an enclosed ballroom kind of setting .That explains how the decor matches everything and how Fazrena could decide on a suitable theme . The flowers, the ornaments all matches perfectly .I’m a sucker for these kind of wedding setting . Like dreamy , tak sakit mata type . Not a fan of those yang colour striking gila  I ever came attended a wedding with decor made up of blood red and black . Not trying to be judgemental , but obviously kita as manusia will definitely macam tertanya-tanya . “Asal black eh ?? ” huahahahaua . Okay lah , agaknya dia nak orang dari jauh nampak the event . Hey , no bad feelings ya . I totally understand if you guys choose those colours because its your favourite clr along with your spouse . Having said all these , of course I dah tanya Adam lah kan . Nak tahu apa dia cakap .

First I was annoyed lah . Dekni , semua benda tak secocok dengan mata dia . hahaha .But when I think back , Aah ehh . Kita buat kat mph . Kalau dah over sgt , menyemak pulak . hahah .Besides kita belum pilih outfit , ada nanti bila dh pergi fitting then nak pakai shades of pastel . We might blend in with the decor . Every bride and groom should outshine during their wedding. Lagipun so far tak ada company in Singapore  yang I came across  doing this . Kalau ada pun . Please prepare your $$$$$$ . So yes , I have to say selamat tinggal to this angan-angan of mine. Insyallah, me and Adam will find the one that we really like .But that doesn’t stop me from getting inspired still, because I love their wedding card and also instead of taking post wedding photo . They frame up this typography design with their initials on it .

Calm Thursday

So today everything have been doing fine , I woke up and got to work . The weather today seems fine and I don’t waste any time choosing my work outfit . So basically today , I cleared my email , doing the necessary . And Yes , today I was quite happy because a few vendors have reply to my enquiry regarding their quotation . And the good thing about working in an office is that you can print it all . Good thing of having a printer on yr desk . Kesian paper company kena sacrifice ! Tapi okay wad , since I seldom eat and consume the food and drink in the pantry . hahah . So SID , SMR , CHARISMA and a few others replied . Now I can store it somewhere and when the time is right I can bring it all out to discuss with Adam and both our parents.

1 and a half hour more for me  to knock off from work and the weather have change . Have always been these way lately . It will be hot and sunny in the afternoon and come evening , the sky will turn dark and it will start to rain . Sometimes heavy one too . To top off my calm Thursday , I got my hands on these bad boys . Fluff Cuppies for me . Right after lunch , they announce there were no queue so apa lagi , we go and get some . Horlicks, Dark choc with banana top with sea salt and also  Salted caramel . Love the Dark Choc combo with caramelized banana . 

That’s about it then , one more day to the weekend and I can’t wait for Saturday night where I don’t have to set my alarm clock for the next day . So awesome feeling , okay since I got time to kill , gonna watch the re-run of How I Met your Mother . Have a good Thurs guys xx

I think ………… It’s time for me too look for a Wedding Planner /Organiser . I mean the book kind not the  the person to organize my wedding . Im on a look out already . I have few in minds , Kikki K , Ri Stationary, Etsy.com , Books Depository . Need to keep track of the few vendors in mind and our budget for the wedding . So mayb after work , I would pop by somewhere to look for it . 

I bought our file where we can store all the receipts and etc . So we can also keep track which vendor we have made payment to . It’s a white chic extendable file . What i like about extendable file is those tab at the top . hehe . $7.90 for a file , not bad lah kan . The planner/organizer would definitely cost a bomb , last I checked at Kikki K , states there $79.70 . Okay lah see how .

Alahai Mother ….

After a while not updating , here am I . heh . Okay I know our wedding may quite be a long way to go for the fact that we have settle the day and year . And yes , I am a 2016 BTB but look nowdays how time is going by so fast  , it would be in no time we have to start planning for it  .  So yesterday after work , I had a convo with the parents . It turns out my mother REALLY REALLY wants me to held the  nikah at home .

Our initial plan was to just a one day event , which means Nikah in the morning and sanding in the afternoon . She was quite shocked I wanted it to be a one day event . And she was like ” Takper , the first day event mummy keluarkan duit , just do a two day event ” . So much for being the eldest daughter , I don’t want use her money even though it would means alot to us . So her plan for us was , Saturday pagi nikah and Sunday kita sanding . Bukan tak nak , it would only means extra charges for our vendor because our choosen photographer and videographer  would need to cover for both event , She really wants us to nikah after Asar , don’t know what’s the reason but sometimes Mother know best lah kan .

However , before I slept ada jugak terpikir , maybe it would be good idea for us because since its a combined wedding . We could nikah after Asar and held a dinner event for closest friends or relatives who can’t be there for our Sunday event . Kannnnnnnn….

Above all this , I have yet to discuss with Adam . He is so busy with his exam so talking about all this will either bore him or he will not seem to be interested . haha . We’ll find time hopefully to discuss and see which one he would be more comfortable with besides I need to hear his family side decision and opinions too . Tu jerr for now .

Blessing

So yesterday the mother tell me not to worry about finding the few important vendors for the wedding because my aunties and uncles have volunteer to render their help once we have confirmed to hold the wedding .  And my Godmother have also told us not to worry about the catering people because she have her own contacts and she’s gonna recommend the same catering company that does 3 of her daughters .  And by my parents review,  , the food was marvelous and even before the event ended most of the dishes and food item have finish . Not because of the company providing less food but because of the whole stream of people who came non stop , up to the point they have to cook extra just for the guests that just arrive .

But we got to discuss it together , since its a combined wedding , Adam and his family have a say in the wedding planning too . If most of it is settle maybe in time to come , we don’t have much to sought for the wedding . xx
